NMR and GCMS File Downloads


NMR and GCMS files are folders and have been saved as zip files.
Follow the steps below to download these zip files and have them work with the ACD or GCMS spectral analysis software.
*These steps may vary slightly due to different computer operating systems (e.g. Windows 98, 2000, XP).

1. Left click selected NMR or GCMS file
2. *On the "File Download" window select "Save this file to disk" and left click "OK" box or simply or left click "Save" box.
3. On the "Save As" window 
    a. select the appropriate drive using "Save in:", e.g. A: for floppy disk (DO NOT SAVE TO HARD DRIVE!!)
    b. select an appropriate "File name:"
    c. "Save as type" must remain "EnZip Archive" / "Compressed (zipped) Folder"
    d. left click "Save" box
    e. the file will be copied to the selected drive
4. To extract the folder, use a. or b. below (not both)
    a. From the "Download Complete" window
        i. Left click "Open" box
        ii. From the "Zipped Folder" window, left click folder and select "Extract All Files" from the "Folder Tasks" list
        iii. From the "Extraction Wizard" window select "Next", "Next", "Finish" buttons
    b. Go to selected drive on "My Computer"
        i. *right click selected folder or file 
        ii. *left click "Add To Zip" or "Extract To...."
        iii. *on the "Add Files" or "Extract Files" window left click the "OK" or "Extract" box
        iv. *zip folder will be "opened" to selected disk and will now appear as "z file name" or "file name" on "My Computer"
5. Open the ACD or GCMS Data Analysis program, then
    a. select "File", then "Load Data File..."
    b. from the "Load Data File" window
        i. select the appropriate drive
        ii. select the appropriate folder by double left clicking the folder name
        iii. select the appropriate data file
            a'. for NMR use WinNmr file
            b'. for GCMS use file ending with ".d"
        iv. left click the "OK" box
