Taxonomy:
Regina
septemvittata is a monotypic species (Crother et al. 2008).
Distribution: In Tennessee, Queensnakes
have been documented throughout the central and eastern parts of the state in
scattered counties from Kentucky Lake (impounded lower Tennessee River) to the
North Carolina state line. Areas within
this range where more work is needed includes the southern Central Basin,
eastern Highland Rim, and northern Cumberland Plateau.
