While there are jobs available for  statisticians with undergraduate degrees,  additional training  increases the opportunity for and the level of employment.  In a recent survey, a Master's degree with no experience was seen as equivalent to bachelor's degrees with two to four years of experience.  The concentration in statistics at Austin Peay State University should provide good preparation for those students desiring to obtain an advanced degree in statistics.  There are universities in the region that offer graduate work in statistics.  Among these are The University of Tennessee, the Univsity of Kentucky and the University of Memphis.
