Photographs of the Heart Models from APSU Human A&P Lab.

Activity 1: Using the Heart Models to Study Heart Anatomy, p. 303, in Lab Manual
The heart models illustrate all of the structures you will observe in the heart dissection, but do so more clearly. They also illustrate some structures which cannot be observed in the heart dissection such as the approximate locations of physiologically important intrinsic conduction system structures: the sinoatrial node, atrioventricular node, atrioventricular bundle, right and left bundle branches, and conduction myofibers. Learn to recognize all of the model structures that appear in bold typeface on the model keys. Learn to identify the heart structures on the models which are clearly visible, including the hearts of the torso models in the lab.The photos below are thumbnail images.
